Select vehicles may qualify for rideshare and delivery use depending on driver approval, insurance verification, and platform eligibility. Approval is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of Apex Car Rental.
Drivers are responsible for meeting all platform-specific vehicle, age, inspection, and insurance requirements before driving for hire.
Apex Car Rental is independently owned and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Amazon Flex, or any other gig or delivery platform.
Rental requirements
What you'll need to rent.
We keep our requirements straightforward so you can plan ahead. All renters must complete our verification process before keys are released.
Valid driver's license
A current, unexpired driver's license issued in the U.S. — additional documentation may be requested for out-of-state or international licenses.
Minimum age
Primary renters must be at least 21 years of age. Some vehicle categories require renters to be 25 or older.
Insurance verification
Renters must provide proof of personal auto insurance with coverage that meets or exceeds state minimums. Supplemental coverage is available.
Refundable deposit
A refundable security deposit is required at the start of every rental. Deposit amounts vary by vehicle and rental length.
Approved payment method
A valid credit or debit card in the renter's name is required for the deposit and rental charges.
Signed rental agreement
All renters must review and sign our rental agreement, which outlines responsibilities, restrictions, and protection terms.

The following policies apply to every Apex rental and are detailed in full within your signed rental agreement. They exist to protect both the renter and the vehicle.
GPS tracking disclosure
All Apex vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices for safety, recovery, and operational purposes. By renting, you consent to GPS monitoring during the rental term.
Authorized drivers only
Only drivers listed and approved on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Allowing an unauthorized driver voids all protection and may result in immediate termination of the rental.
Tolls, tickets & citations
Renters are responsible for all tolls, parking tickets, traffic citations, red-light camera fines, and related administrative fees incurred during the rental.
Late return fees
Returns more than 29 minutes past the scheduled return time are subject to a late fee, plus an additional daily rate for each subsequent 24-hour period.
Prohibited use & misuse
Vehicles may not be used for racing, off-road driving, towing, illegal activity, transporting hazardous materials, or any use prohibited by the rental agreement.
Deposit holds
A refundable deposit is held at the start of the rental and released after the vehicle is returned, inspected, and cleared of any outstanding charges.
No smoking or vaping
Smoking, vaping, and the use of any tobacco or cannabis product inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. Violations result in a mandatory cleaning fee.
Damage responsibility
Renters are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault, up to the full repair or replacement value.

Right to refuse or terminate
Apex Car Rental reserves the right to decline a rental request or terminate an active rental at any time if terms of the rental agreement are violated.

What's required to rent?+

Do you offer delivery
Yes. Vehicle delivery to a verified address is available within our service area for a flat fee. Delivery is by appointment and subject to driver verification at handoff.

What happens if I return late?+

Can I extend my rental?+
